According to Pew Research Center, what seems to be the most major problem that is facing the country is the Affordability Of Health Care.
Two-thirds of Americans view the affordability of health care as a very big problem for the country. Another 26%say it is a moderately big problem. 6% others say its a small or not a problem.
The economic downturn caused by a continuing pandemic has renewed attention on health insurance coverage as millions have lost their jobs and potentially their health. The Affordable Care Act (ACA), sought to address the gaps in our health care system that leave millions of people without health insurance.
A connection that you can relate could be a disease from the 13th century, the Plague. The plague was also a pandemic that was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history.
But what was the Plague? The black Death
The most common form is the bubonic form of the plague where Y pestis enters the body through the bite, traveling through the lymphatic system until it reaches a lymph node. It replicates there causing the lymph node to be inflamed and swollen, becoming a bubo.
Many people couldn’t afford the treatment for this causing, millions of deaths and many more sick. Some say it was instant kill once you made contact with it. As time went, things kept getting worse, taking that into consideration, the public officials created a system of sanitary control to combat using observation stations.
Like the concept of quarantine used today, were also used during the Middle Ages. They spread word for quarantine which people were pressured to obey to limit the spread of the disease. The establishment of hospitals; and provision of medical care and social assistance.
